Tom,

New product #3, Extreme Radio System from Trisquare is discontinued. The company is going out of business.

Info here:

All of their products are marked "discontinued" at most retailers.

5-lb Wool Blankets as discussed on the net

Dave and Tom mentioned these excellent quality 5lb wool blankets on a recent net. They are becoming rare and are out of stock or no longer available on most websites. They are in stock as of this posting at: http://www.gr8gear.com/catalog/Bunk-Beds-Cots-Blankets/Blankets/Blanket-Authentic-Italian ...

Discovery Channel - "One Car Too Far" Tonight

This was posted on another forum I frequent. I'm just passing the info along for anyone interested. Two men and a Jeep are dropped in a remote location in Chile: http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/live-feed/discovery-channel-one-car-too-far-354934 Promo video here: http://dsc.discovery.com/videos/one ...

Missing hiker found in Anza mud caves

Another tragic reminder to be careful even in well known areas like the mud caves.

Re: Off Road Liability

Larry, your fire extinguisher story is frightening.

Until I fully and properly know how to use my winch, I'm telling everyone it's broken and that I left my recovery strap in the garage at home :D

Thanks for your reply. Very well thought out as usual.

Off Road Liability

I have started wondering about the following and thought it might be an interesting topic for a future net. Let's say: You are driving in a wilderness area and you come upon a stranded rig. The stranded party asks you to winch them out, tow them out, etc. In the course of assisting the stranded ...

Android - Worldwide Repeater Finder

If anyone is interested, I stumbled upon a neat little Android app. It is a worldwide repeater database. It is called RFinder ($4.99). It will list all repeaters within a given distance of your current location or you can search for a location and find all repeaters within X miles. It lists details ...

Newer Net recordings on site?

I am a newer forum member and have been listening to many of the past Net recordings. I have thoroughly enjoyed the topics and as a less experienced 4-wheeler, I find them invaluable. I was just wondering why there are not Nets posted on the website after 02/10/2011? If this is due to a perceived ...

Re: FS: Yaesu FT-170R 2M handheld

Larry, I must be having a senior moment here. But, I can find no online reference to a Yaesu FT-170R ever being produced. There is the FT-270R 2-Meter waterproof which I have and there's a VX-170.

Is is either one of these?
