I see you have Yaesu VHF/UHF, probably FTM-400XDR, with C4FM digital. Do your favor C4FM and APRS vs DSTAR? Does Yaesu work better with PC? Have you simply chosen the one with the best "analog" features? SOARA has nets on DSTAR, but HRO folks make a strong case for Yaesu. I'm trying to choose.

I would so love to be part of OAUSA field day. But, I got my amateur license last year, and joined the local radio club (SOARA). I should spend time working with and getting to know those folks better. Until then, I look forward to the Thursday night nets.
