Thanks Frank and Ollie
The photography is easy with the awesome scenery available.
Here is a link from my Flickr account for a better view of the photos

Did you buy this before your trip or have you been holding out on us??? I've been looking into one of these or the smaller version. They are highly recommended by most I have talked to. They say the only PITA is the required seperate 12V power source. HRO has one of the larger ones on consignment.
Ollie:
The antenna is a motorized HF unit by Scorpion referred to as the "shorty" model (6m to 80m), see http://www.scorpionantennas.com/antennas.html . Yes, It was purchased before the trip. I am working on a more permanent installation, although this seemed to work well. Due to its size, the only mobile installation that will work, especially in the type of environment we were in, would be a rear bumper mount. At the moment it is a work in progress. I will post when it reaches a more completed stage.

Beautiful photos! Great campsites.
Frank:
It was amazing to hear my computer's voice play your messages while we were driving. On a couple of occasions, it was a little startling to hear that voice.
It was great to hear from you each day and I apologize for not getting back on occasion. Driving was a full time occupation. Thanks for keeping tabs on us!

RayGunn,
I put the Land Cruiser into production January when the Grand decided to call it quites after 330,000 miles. I am still expermenting with modifications and how to pack my stuff. It worked very well on this trip.

Wow! I was IN the Grand Canyon the week before and I'm still jealous of not being able to make your Parashant trip. Glad you guys had a fantastic and safe trip, too.

One last photo that I recently picked up from Steve. Breakfast alfresco on the rim.
