Hello to everyone, I found out about this board from Oz Trad, and his site, SemperX.org, dedicated to Nissan Xterras. This looks to be an excellent camping/adventure/amatuer radio site, and I am just getting my 10 year old son (Alex) into Ham radios. I think we will be attending the SummerFest in Big Bear, as I feel this would be an excellent opportunity to show him where his studies will take him with this fantastic hobby.

A little about myself: I have owned a 2005 Nissan Xterra 4x4 since December of 2009, but have had off road dust in my blood since I was a kid. My Dad took me to Anza Borrego when I was in Cub Scouts hiking and exploring, and my passion grew from there. I have been everywhere from working a pit crew in the Baja 500 to recently camping and trail exploration in Moab, Utah.

I very much look forward to posting, reading, and meeting everyone here on the trail and at the campsite.
