Post by Scenic WonderRunner » Mon Aug 27, 2012 1:58 pm

2012 Summer Road Trip in 2WD.....

San Diego to Minnesota

12 States

7,000 miles

More fun than anyone can have in 2WD!

When my son was young.....I asked him what he would like to see on our 10,000 mile round trip/road trip to Minnesota in 2000. Stephen said..... "I want to see the Presidents Heads, Daddy"....! .....You got it son!

Alpine Loop Trail.....Colorado. Yes.....a 1991 Buick Le Sabre with just 42,000 Original Miles can do it! 8-)

Great photos and epic trip, Mark! Any reason you took the car instead of your Toyota?

Thanks John.....

My new to me 1991 "Buick Daily Driver".....get's up to 33.50 Miles per Gallon.

This is Exactly what I wanted for my Road Trips.

This is my new daily driver and my long distance road trip car!

This is a daily driver and a Road trip car!

We don't always need a 4x4 to have fun! There is always lot's of fun along the road!

My son broke the tranny on my 1990 Le Sabre......so it's parked in my driveway.

I just Love these Buicks!

The 3.8 V6 Buick Engine is Bullet Proof.....and rated one of the top 10 American engines of all time!

Park City Utah.......first day out!

There was a totally fun awesome street fair that day!

The 1904......

Original Wyoming Governors Mansion.

You do not need a 4x4 to enjoy wonderful American History!

This pic says 1905. But the Original documents state it was built in 1904. I just love this stuff!

The Original Carraige House.

The Cheyenne Wyoming Train Station was built by the Rich Cattle Barrons of the turn of the Century!

They wanted to keep the travelers out of the harsh weather.

This is the same train line where the Golden Spike hit the Land on this east west track. Much History Here!
