2017 Spring Meet & Greet - Ruby's Diner, Redondo Beach, CA - May 20, 2017

WE'RE BACK!!!!!

OAUSA will hold our annual Spring Meet & Greet on Saturday, May 20, 2017, at the Ruby's Diner in Redondo Beach, California. We are planning for breakfast and lunch at Ruby's.

Ruby's is located right on the beach in Redondo and offers a perfect setting for this get together, as well as offering great food and an opportunity to enjoy the Redondo Pier with its many shops and attractions. Bring your outdoor vehicle for all to appreciate. We will also offer a testing session for all levels of Ham Radio Licensing.

Bring your families too. This is a great venue for us to meet the family members we never get to see on the trail. Post any questions you may have here or send a PM to DaveK. We look forward to seeing you there.

Yes, there have been several upgrades. I'm beginning to think, however, that these upgrades are an evil plot as part of the IT full employment act. With every upgrade comes an onslaught of new problems. I'm kidding of course, but not about the problems.

EVENT REPORT

The Meet & Greet was a complete success. We had great weather, great food (at Ruby's), a perfect location, interesting vehicles, and good friends. Thanks to all who attended as well as those who helped prepare and set-up for the event!!!

We also had an unexpectedly great turnout for the Amateur Radio license testing with 6 new licenses earned: 2 new Extras, 2 new Generals, and 2 new Technicians. Congratulation to all!!!

Many thanks to our VEs, for administering the testing: Don W6KLE, Roger KK6GFF, and Dave K6DTK!!!

And, of course, thanks to Ruby's diner!!!
