Non-destructive Radio Installation Example:
Here are a few pics of an install that is non-invasive. That is, the radio can be removed and leave no trace. The vehicle is a Ford F250. Since I did not want to cut into the dash or modify any of the truck's interior, I wanted a way to install my dual band (2 meter/70CM) radio without leaving any trace of the install if I decided to sell the vehicle. I installed the radio in the rear, under-seat compartment. Then ran the Antenna to the cab using a simple Mag Mount with a Diamond NR770HB dual band antenna. The radio face plate was then attached to a modified clipboard (Thank you Kevin, KK6DGL). Once the clipboard was cut and attached with rivets it was ready to clip onto the moon roof lip. Finally, I ran the audio to the auxiliary input of the truck's stock sound system.
