Buck Rock Lookout

I just watched an episode of California Gold on the Buck Rock Lookout in the Sequoia National Forest. Its definately on my list of things to see when i go to Sequoia with the family. I remember there was a picture of a fire lookout on adv4x4, was that Buck Rock?

I think the fire lookout picture you remember from A4x4 was of Butler Peak lookout in Big Bear. We've visited a number of the lookouts in the local area and Butler Peak is one of our favorites. Fortunately, it survived last year's fires, but the road up to the lookout is still closed. This may be one of the pictures you remember from A4x4 (photo courtesy of MartyR, and taken during or just after the big fires):

Looks like a great place to visit, and pretty cool lookout as well.

D'oh!!! I was really looking forward to going to the lookout. That place is so cool.
