2019 Field Day Equipment Sign-Up
Field Day requires a great deal of equipment and people willing to work the various bands that are part of the competition. Let us know what you will be able to bring and what stations you would like to work. The items we will need include antenna masts, antennas, radios, power supplies, generators, computers, coax, tables, pop-ups, chairs, headphones, logging supplies, etc. Volunteers are needed to work the local repeaters for call-ins and band captains. Let us know where you would like to contribute. Check out the posts below to see where you can contribute.

4. 80M band pass filter
5. one pop-up
6. one power strip
7. cheat sheets for all operators
8. If needed, we can use the HF radio in the Hummer for any band

I'm not sure what vehicle I'll be bringing. I'll have a lot more room for stuff in the Pinzgauer if I get the brake master cylinder replaced in time to bring it. Please let me know if you anticipate needing any of the following -
Ez-Up
Extra Tarps
Cammo Netting
Cammo Netting Spreaders and Poles
Small Picnic Table for 4 with benches
For radio gear -
Yaesu FT-991a
Windows 10 PC
21" Touch Screen Monitor
Buddipole antenna with 80m coil, counterpoise wire, and portable electric fence poles for the counterpoise
Elk Antenna, Portable Rotator, Mast (On the Pinzgauer shack)
Variety of PowerPole extension cords and distribution blocks
PowerPole termination kit and crimper
Variety of RF adapters
I'm not planning on contesting but I do want to set up my radio gear and try it out.
I'll bring 3 French Press coffee pots for coffee tasting, an espresso maker, and a milk steamer for morning espresso drinks.

Re: 2019 Field Day Equipment Sign-Up
Bruce,
Thank you for bringing everything. Did you find a trailer for the Pinz? That’s quite a haul.
If you would be so kind, I also have a Buddipole that I have never been able to get the SWR down low on. As a matter of fact. Jack has one as well. Perhaps we can set them up adjacent to each other and compare. I have a 4 position antenna switch.
If we orient them correctly, can’t we get them to couple together?

Re: 2019 Field Day Equipment Sign-Up
Kevin,
An antenna analyzer is pretty much a necessity for tuning the Buddipole. I'll bring mine and show you how I use it. I made my first 80m QSO on it at Field Day last year. At that low of a frequency the operating range with good SWR is very narrow. Still it's a fun antenna for field use since it's very versatile and allows you to try out different antenna configurations.
I should be able to fit everything in the PInzgauer. Having a lot of space is one thing I like about it
. I'm not known for packing light
.

Bruce,
I also have an analyzer. Probably not as good as yours. Jack has one too. I look forward to testing the antennas.
Thank you
