Good idea. I think they stated it had to be repaired twice for the same issue, and on the third time they would consider replacing it a new one.

It's currently working great, so if I send it in now I will just be wasting my time. I doubt they would replace it if it is in perfectly functional condition, or even record the service as strike two.

Maybe I will call them back and see what they say. Originally I tried to send it back through HRO, and of course they tested it in the store. Once I saw it working, I didn't insist they return it.

Eric,

I don't know how long they have your radio when they repair it but if you end up sending it back and need one to take its place while it's out let me know. I have a spare 8800 I can loan you while it's in the shop. ;)

Hey thanks Ollie. That's really kind of you. I really only needed it for the run this weekend. Other than that, I may miss a net or two, and when that happens Steve usually gives me a courtesy check in. Last time, they had it back to me in less than two weeks.
