I am not going on this trip so feel free to ignore the following recommendation.

The meal rotation is a great idea. It actually saves time and saves food as much less seems to get wasted. On a longer trip (like this one) it also allows the off duty chefs to attend to vehicle needs without adding time in camp.

For you meal assignments I recommend pairing up dinner and breakfast with the same chef whenever you can. If you decide to base camp the "on deck" chef can organize things to his/her liking and even start getting things ready for the morning if desired without disturbing the evening chef. If you cruise, only one person needs to set up a kitchen at each camp. This will save time and energy.

22 Depart

23 Breakfast - Hector - Mexican spice sausage, eggs, potatoes, rice, beans
Dinner - Bob - Spaghetti w/ meatballs, garlic bread and salad

24 Breakfast - Steve - bacon eggs
Dinner - Dave - Flank steak, baked potatoes, salad

25 Breakfast - Dave - steak and eggs
Dinner - Tom - Dutch oven chicken and rice

26 Breakfast - Tom - omelets in a bag
Dinner - Bob - Beef burgundy, biscuits and salad

27 Breakfast - Bruce - pancakes, sausage and bacon
Dinner - Dave - chicken en adobe, salad and warm tortillas

28 Breakfast - Hector - French toast, bacon
Dinner - Tom - Dutch oven lasagna, salad

29 TBD Depart for home


Each person is responsible for purchasing the materials and food for each meal. Lunch will be sandwiches and Bob's chicken salad.



Keep all receipts for any meal items purchased and we will divide all expenses equally. We will decide on how and who purchases the lunch items. More to follow.
