Brent, are you traveling North to get home? I am also, so if you want to plan a break-away point from this run to head to Temecula, I'd join you.

I haven't looked at any maps to see where Ollie is taking us, so just assumed that when we hit the pavement at the top of Montezuma that I'd hang a left and head out thru Warner Springs to Temecula and home...with a stop for a DQ ice cream cone in Temecula of course! DQ optional if you don't want to stop.

The more the merrier!
You actually have the option of staying on Grapevine Trail when we turn into Culp Valley but it makes for a pretty uneventful trip out. If you follow me out to Montezuma we will only have to back track about 6 miles of what you would have made up by staying on Grapevine.

The trail is fun I did it some time ago. I started from Montezuma Valley Road and stayed on the Jasper Trail then to Grapvine Canyon to Yaqui Well, Fun trail, see the map. Also if I have some time I can scan my conventional photos from my trip. :D I will do doing parts of this area and others during this Winter/Spring when I do my "Tour De Anza Borrego" and PhotoJeeping Trips. :D

Thanks for the map - s/b fun whether we stay on Jasper or cut on Culp. Backtrack up Montezuma and out isn't that far!

 Stan (RFJTOY) his son and I stopped last time out there at the DQ. It was so refreshing after a weekend in the desert I thought it might make a nice tradition to start! Just a plain simple DQ cone tasted so darn good after being so hot and dusty!
