Quite an unnerving situation there. What lessons did your friend take from this situation? Does he now at least take a map and compass so he can find his way home?

Ollie,

Normally there were three of us who hunted together. What became obvious was that our lost soul couldn't find his nose with both hands in the woods. After the above incident, we made sure he was with one of us at all times. We also rode together and we lost him when he went down-at 10mph, never to rise again. It was a bizarre accident. We miss him.

Regards, Steve

Are you saying he died in an accident going only 10MPH? ...and when you say rode, do you mean motorcycles?

Yes and yes. Hit a small cement divider in a parking lot while waving goodbye to some folks behind him. He never saw it and he fell and hit his head just right or just wrong  and the lights went out. I am not sure, but if you believe a plan is written for us all, then it was just his time. He rode a beautiful custom harley and it only had a small scratch, but he refused to wear a dot helmet. The little novelty helmet didn't protect him. If he had a dot helmet, he would have gotten up laughing. I ride with a fullface most of the time now. Had a very strange happening the day before we pulled the plug. I just say,"some things can't be explained." WhenI tell people the story of this strange event, most tell me they get chills down there spine. We miss him.
