Yep, I bought the LJ for just that reason. The TJ is too small and the JK Unlimited is a bus.

This thread is no longer relevant. There is now a Silver FJ parked in my driver way. I can only hope, and pray my trusty Jeep's new owner has as much fun with it as I did. She will be missed lots.

So why did you get rid of it?

Diddo!!!

Don't get me wrong, I am a fan of FJ's (

) but... Was it a space issue with the growing family.

I guess I should have put up and explination hu?

Family space was a big factor Ollie, but not the only one. With a lot of my driving going toward expedition and multi day vehicle camping the Rubi was lacking as an adequate platform in terms of what I wanted in a truck. When I bought the Jeep I really didn't know much about Overland Driving and stuff. I just wanted a good truck that could go anywhere with a tent in the back. After meeting Ralphie a few years ago and discovering a new world of wilderness exploration I soon realized where my Jeep was lacking. It needed space, and security. There were a few options I had been thinking about for a while, Adventure trailer (or similar), Taco with flip-pac, FZJ, FJC. Of all of them the FJC was the one I have seen the most first hand what it can hanndle in terms of trails, and gear. I have always been impressed with what you guys have done (Ralphie, Ollie, Larry, and so on), so really... it is all you FJ guys fault the Rubicon is gone!

However, if there had of been an Unlimited Rubicon, or a Taco on the lot at the time that met my specs it would be in the driveway!
Or maybe I'm just getting old...
I'll have another Jeep someday, but it will only be for the Hammers.
