Dave,

Do you think a bone stock '04 Tacoma 4x4 will do OK on your run? I'm not sure if I'll be bringing the Pinzgauer or the Tacoma. I'll be leaving Thursday from work and a 200+ mile drive with the Pinzgauer in traffic will be tiring to say the least.

Bruce:

At the moment, all I can tell you is that last year we had a few stock vehicles make the run without incident, including an FJ. I know the area has experienced some flash flooding in the past 12 months and I will be doing a pre-run soon to see what has changed. I will post up.

I assume you have no rock rails or under carriage protection.

We actually were able to get 2WD's up it on the night run. Going down will make it easier.

Dave,

Sign me up for the run. I'll probably bring the Pinzgauer down so I shouldn't have any problems with the trail.

please sign me up for this run, I have not been on this run before and it sounds cool. I just submitted my $55 payment 5 mins ago so be looking for that. btw, im 4x2 but have been through canyon sin nombre, diablo drop off to fish creek and sand canyon, and most of the rest of anza/ocotillo without any issues. ive also done rodriguez canyon at night with no issues. let me know if thats gonna cause any problems. I have a lift and some good tires and feel pretty confident out there at anza...anyway, let me know if not but otherwise sign me up.

Oh yeah, you should be just fine out there. With a 4X2 you can still travel most of the trails out in Anza-Borrego. I've had a few 4X2's on my runs and even if you do get into trouble there's plenty of other folks here to help you out.

ya, just wanted to make sure...it doesnt seem too bad. looks like rodriguez canyon is the worst part and ive gone up that before.

I think you actually led me on my first anza borrego trail run at this even a few years back. we had 2 or 3 4x2s. that year fish creek was real worn out and I did get stuck at broken diff gulch? whatever its called, havent got stuck again there yet!
