Thanks for stepping up.
Larry
1. what is a TM 20m /17m / 15m / 10m antenna
2. can you be specific on how many runs of RG-8X coax, including length, and what kind of connectors you will bring.
1)The antenna is actually a TW, same as Jon's (except no 40m adapter).
2) I can't specify yet, 'til I can get them out - but I edited my post with what should be the minimum I'll have available...

Time to start refining our equipment list. We have a good start but there are some areas where we need a little more.
1. We need a 10M band pass filter
2. We need band captains for 80 and 10. Steven, you expressed an interest in 80 - how's that looking?
3. Can the people who are bringing generators communicate with each other to see if we can link them up together.
4. Who is bringing wire antennas for the masts? Hector, I know you have a few.
5. We will need for everyone to bring a chair or two.
6. Who will be bringing radios - (Ollie, Hector, SteeevO, Jon)
7. If we operate 5 stations, we will need two more computers to log contacts.
8. Hector - I believe that we have three computers with the necessary logging software loaded up (you, Larry and I). If we get two more computers, we will need to make sure they have the software. Are there any updates that the three of us will need?
9. We will need more coax.
10. Will we need more generators?
11. If we are required to shut off the generators at 10PM, we are going to need several batteries to carry on into the night.
12. Volunteers to monitor Keller for talk-ins and questions
Misc. needs:
1. Firewood
2. Cheat sheets for making contacts - Randy did one last year that had a brief script of what to say, etc. Anyone have a copy?
3. Paper, pens, clipboards
4. Signs or banners for OAUSA to direct people to the site for FD and testing
If I've left something off the list. speak up!

Ill take 80.
I've got the radio, coax, ill make antenna by then, computer (needs software but no biggie)
just will need power. Will run off of my truck at night if needed.
If were at the big pine group site then the generator past 10 is a non-issue.
Hector will you be bringing a router for the wireless network? If not, I can bring one.

Nickshammas and I will each have a Honda 2000 generator, and I have a 3rd available to borrow (although I don't think we'll need 3

). I'll have access to a linking unit for the 2 generators, but I think it will be better to have them work independently, as we won't need to pull 4000 watts for any single device (unless someone is bringing an HF amplifier

)
As I listed earlier, I'll have a Yaesu FT-450AT and a Kenwood TS-690S 6m-160m radio, along with a power supply for each radio.
I am also willing to invest in some dipole antennas - I mentioned the Radiowavz deal (buy 2 get a 3rd free) so if anyone is interested in splitting this with me, I'll order 'em up. ($100 plus shipping for a 15, 20, and 40m double bazooka dipoles)
I also have several more 50' runs of RG8X coax (not sure how many more - I'll check when I get back to L.A.)

UPDATED EQUIPMENT LIST
First, thanks to all who have volunteered. Based on everyone's input, I have updated post number one, above. Please check it to make sure it accurately reflects your equipment or activity.
Otherwise, we still have a few areas where we need help:
1. We need a band captain for 10M.
2. We will need for everyone to bring a chair or two.
3. We need to get at least two more computers for logging contacts.
Hector:
1. will we need to do a practice run setting up the antennas?
2. what kind of guy ropes and stakes will we need for the masts and is there anything else we need?

good call chris, Firewood!
I'll bring some wood. I'd say if everyone can bring a bundle or 2, we'd be set.
as dave said, we need more laptops. just 2 more.
They don't need to be very powerful at all. Just needs to be running at least WINDOWS 95, so dust off that old laptop and if it'll boot, it'll probably work out.
We run the N3FJP Field Day log software. if you have a computer to use for field day we can get you the club registration code for the software.
Wifi capable laptops are a big plus to keep everyone logging on the same network and minimize the need to combine logs at the end of field day.

I just ordered 15m, 20m, and 40m Radiowavz Double Bazooka Dipoles for Summerfest, just in case
(If anyone else wants to order a 10m and 80m, you'll get a dipole for a third band FREE....

)
