Hey, if they'll give me a license, you should have no problem earning yours

i should do this. i hate studying for tests though. uggghhh.....but i really want to do this. think i can be prepared in 3 weeks? i'm not a techy. add me to the list please.....if someone wants my place i'll give it up.

Yes, you can be prepared in three weeks. No need to worry about a limited number of spaces for testing. We will serve anyone that wants to test. Good luck!!

Chris - there are several on-line practice test sites, and an on-line study course. If you don't like to study, you might find a local ham club offering classes, too -

Ham radio is for everyone - the test is not designed to stump you, but rather to make sure everyone understands the structure, function, and regulations. You can do it, but you've got to put the effort in to try....see you at Borregofest, an I hope to be able to sign off on your technician's license.

My parents are going to visit on Sunday (only time our schedules coincide ), and may take the test (new license - technician).

That is great look forward to having them test.
