Borrego Fest winds got both you and Ollie last year.

Wish I were still involved in scouting, but sadly (sometimes), I'm not. My last ezi-up took a dump at Pismo Beach!

I'll have two 50' extension cords and two outlet strips

I will also have Jon's antenna mast, and he was nice enough to lend me his Yaesu FT857D HF radio if we need it, too.

I'll have 2 power supplies for my Kenwood TS690S and Yaesu FT450AT, but I don't have an extra one for the FT857D, so if anyone has one, please bring it.

I'll have a 3'X6' folding table, and an ARB 12V Camping light, along with a traditional Coleman lantern (although that might not be wise near the radios)

Hector, do you have an antenna that we can use for sat coms?
The wind destroyed my egg beaters.

I've got 80 covered head to toe minus a filter. Extension cord, power strip, power supply, radio, coax antenna..and.. the cannon.

If we can swing it, we should get a radio on 10. 160 would be fun but I think 10 is higher priority.

I'm working on getting some ez ups and a table.

1. Both Tom and I have the hand held Elk 2M/440 antenna and that may work in a pinch. What we need is a computer program that tracks the satellite and it wouldn't hurt to have a tripod or stand to position the antennas.

2. Currently we have 4 radios which will allow us to do 80, 40, 20 and 15. Given the performance of those bands and based on past years performance, they seem like the best bet to get points. If we get another radio and a volunteer for 10, it can be added but it does stretch us a little thin.

3. Let us know what kind of luck you have finding pop-ups.

4. We have a filter for 80.

5. We still need 1 power supply, more co-ax (and connectors) and the rest of the equipment listed above in post #9

Be sure to check the ARB Camping light for RF noise, I had one that seriously impaired RF communications with broadband RF noise. MY ARB Fridge makes RF Noise and they have been less than helpful in mitigating that.

I have an arrow anntenna as well, Tripod for sattelite antenna will not likely be needed the passes are not that frequent and with a tripod we would need to provide a means of tracking as well. due to congestion on the satellites, we are limited to one QSO only, so keep that in mind.

I notice that they mention specifically the FM sats... maybe we can take a look at possibly straying from the FM path.
I can run all modes on 2m but not on 440.

Hector, What sat software do you use?
It's been a number of years since I've tracked and played with the birds.
