Has anybody listened to the recording of last night's net? Many people were called and in my opinion not given any reasonable amount of time to check in. I know I wasn't! Check out the recording at 9:12 in. I was promptly stepped on by net control while attempting to check in. The call list and order seems to change with net controller's preference. I guess we just don't rate.

The recording is not a good measure of the wait time. I'm recording off Echolink, and I have noticed that it cuts out time when there is no signal. It doesn't cut it out completely, but it seems to be consistent in the amount of time it leaves.

However, there are times when people double and one station is not heard. I'm sorry you weren't able to check in. I'm sure Tom will add you to the check-ins for last night.

Hey Dub

Check-ins are a continuing topic of discussion and we have done our best to make the process a positive one. With regard to the order of the call list, it is purely a process of how often you check-in. The computer program we use, sorts names by the number of check-ins in the last month or so and we usually stop when there has not been a check-in in 3-4 weeks. We did this to streamline and shorten the check-in process so that we didn't have so much dead air when people were not there.

Sorry if you were cut-off but I can assure you it was not intentional. Between Tom and I, it is a real job to make sure that we get all the check-ins we can.

So...............how did you like the net?
