Yup... IMO it is the best out there... seems to blow everything else out of the water. It has learning curve, but once you get the hang of it you are dynamite.

If you decide to go with Oziexplorer, don't start downloading CA maps without sending me a pm first. I've already downloaded the CA 250k and 100k maps and should have the 24k maps downloaded in another week. I also have large 5 x 6 degree sat images of CA. (highspeed interent at work is a godsend)

I'm also working on downloading select 24k DOQs of trails I frequent or plan on frequenting in CA. These DOQs are incredible detailed. For example, the whole set of DOQs is 650gb.

I plan on doing an nice writeup with pics for both the tabletpc/oziexplorer and my Yaseu 8800 install. I hope to have them up memorial day weekend.

Pursuant to suggestions recently, one on this forum and one on the net, I have added the operator manuals to my notebook (pc) for my radios, my GPS and the notebook itself. Still waiting for the service manual for the H2. Since the notebook goes with me on all wheelin' trips, these manuals are never out of reach. As a backup, I have put copies for each manual on a flash drive which is kept in the H2 at all times. All of the manuals are in PDF and since I may have to use the flash drive on another computer, I have also loaded the most current version of Adobe reader on the flash drive.

Boy am I jealous - not only a well organized system for having access to all that info, but a Panasonic ToughBook to boot...
