- The Yeasu 2900 2 meter radio is an excellent choice for off road or open vehicle use. The external speaker is a must as the speaker is buried in the console. The external fan cools the rear heatsink but does not force dusty air through the radio. Steel center console is stout and somewhat weather proof.

- Under dash receptacles are individually fused and tied directly to the battery. The Yeasu 2900 is tied in to the auxiliary battery on a separate circuit.
