The middle of nowhere is somewhere I'd prefer to be.
"If future generations are to remember us with gratitude rather than contempt, we must leave them something more than the miracles of technology. We must leave them a glimpse of the world as it was in the beginning, not just after we got through with it."- Lyndon B. Johnson, President of the United States

Moved to Temecula in 1999, enjoyed Thornton winary for their always baking, hot and ready sourdough.
Also, wine tasting was, in those days, only $3 or $4, and usually included a wine glass or 2, if I recall.
With the growth and 'improvements' in the whole area in the last 20 years, the magic is not 'gone' but it's overcrowded with a
different atmosphere, certainly different and less personal. We faded from going, and didn't see many of the new ones.
We left the state in 2019.
During the Christmas season, some of the locations put out a fantastic light display.

I got more curious about Cali AVA's from last nights Net. Thought I'd
try to find a AVA map, top Google hits for AVA map are either low
resolution or a cost to download. But, the obvious prevailed. Go to
https://wineinstitute.org/our-industry/avas/ for a high resolution
downloadable map for free. I am pretty much located in the middle
of #105. Yikes Paso Robles with 11 AVA's !!
We'd best getting carving up # 105 to keep up.
