The book series, Affliction Z by L.T. Ryan provides a look at what things might look like if and when SHTF.

You'll want to read the books in order of publication. The first 3 books were really good. Books 4 and 5 read as if the author had lost interest in the storyline but had still had a contract with a publisher that needed to be fulfilled.

I don't want to give away the storyline, so I'll just say that the main character has done a lot of pre-planning and also was adept at adaptation of plans.

• What is the threat?

• Prioritize and mitigate the perceived threats.

• Wash, rinse, reevaluate and adjust

2. How many days should you be prepared for

• See #1 and decide how your plans hold up

• If you can't work through the 72-hour time frame; fix it and go for the next time hack; 1-week, 2-week...more!
