Observations & Additions:

- Some property owners really take pride in becoming the docents & curators of their property and artifacts.

- It is amazing how much can be found in archives and used for presenting to others at will.

- Unfortunately, much of what is left will not last forever due to the elements but a big "thank you" to the guardians of history that do their best. Sure, some might say they are guarding their investment, but I really believe others truly enjoy providing the living history whenever possible. Respect their efforts!

- Sometimes you have to look hard for the signs and then speculate what you are looking at. Becoming a history buff with an understanding of the concept of "mining" in this case, helps.

- Manufacturing data plates are invaluable if you find the time to research the equipment's origins.

- Water holding tanks can be confused with other more dangerous holding tanks; like cyanide vats and they can be this big. This happened to be a water tank.

- If you post photos of your explorations, sometimes you have to erase the specifics to "protect" your relationship with the property/claim owner.

- Sometimes, you don't have to look hard but you truly have to understand what you are looking at. These sites are often hiding in plain sight.

- Shoring material was not always "milled lumber" and although most timbers last a long time, safety has to be a priority!

- Hard rock mining can be mind blowing. I was trying to breakdown cement at the base of a fence post today and I gave up pretty quick. I can't imagine how much effort was involved in this short "hallway" looking mine passage.
