Steve - You can order them online, but I'm not sure how long it would take for them to ship it to you. You can get them at any SBNF ranger station, including the Discovery Center. Probably the most convenient option is that many outdoor sports oriented stores also carry them, including:

Big 5
Sport Chalet
REI
Sports Authority
A16
etc.

They are $30 for a pass that is good for one year from the date of purchase, or $5 for a daily pass.

Hi all,
Braden and I did Gold mountain this morning. I will stand by my original post and must agree with Scott. At the first rock obstacle, there are 2 lines. Braden went to the right and walked up it. I went to the left as we thought stock rigs will have to use this line. Go in wide, back up to set your line and then up and over. There will be some scraping, but nothing terrible. We did the same approach to the next problem area ( each of us taking a different line to determine how to spot stock rigs.)

If 2 jeeps with 33 and 35 were having problems at the first obstacle, I would vote for driver error. Looking forward to seeing everyone on Fri.

I did GM a couple times in the last month ago, and I would DEFINATELY recommend sliders and at least 1 locker. I'm on 32s with sliders and I was running trutracs...I had to work a little bit to make it through the first waterfall...its washed out a bit since last year. The rock garden towards the top seems to be getting a bit easier though.

I probably will not make it in time for the Friday run. I have an 8:00am appointment and don't see it ending before 10:00-10:30am.

I will be at the camp before noon , see you there, maybe we can make any trip Friday afternoon.

Well, we've got an unexpected issue to deal with, so we won't be up in time for the run on Friday. I'm guessing/hoping we'll be in camp by late afternoon.
