Field Day is Comming!

I did get to do field day last year with a group called the RF Group, a branch of the Riverside ARC. I hope to actually do field day in the field this year, and really go all out if we get enough people involved.

anyone already have plans for this year?

There are a few good trails near that there Silverwood lake. My first "Antennas in the..." Wheelin' and RagChew... Can't think of a lot of things I'd rather do.

What are the exact dates for 2009 for Field Day. Is it the weekend of June 27th?

I was thinking about having a field day / 4x4 trip thsi year. we started talking about it on the RR Forum & blackx thought of going to anza which could definately work if we take some masts and guy them. I thought it would be a good oporitunity to get more people involved in radio and teach new & potential hams.
but i'm also open to any mtn tops with lots of space and trees to tie antennas up in. Getting permission for squints ranch near silverwood may be a possibility but not much wheeling to be had out there other than cleghorn, willow creek, dishpan springs, ..ok so maybe it can work.

I'm open to ideas & input.
