The Pozo Saloon is a very unique place - it's used in many commercials and movies (think Jessica Simpson - Direct TV...

). I think it's the oldest operating saloon in the Western U.S. And that Tri-tip was awesome !!!
Count me in on the road to Pozo...
In '06, when Nikos (Sunnygrill) and I left the Pozo for home, we used the GPS. Well, it found the shortest route, all right - 26 miles of ridge roads and then through some farm land and small towns until we got to the (58?) freeway. It was quite an adventure in itself, as we had no idea if the road continued, if there was any blockage along the narrow trail, or how difficult any of the road would be. One of the vehicles with us had a lady who was 7 months pregnant riding along, which added that much more drama to the trip.

We encountered no headaches, and it turned out to be one of the most memorable parts of SnT 2006...
Can't wait 'til November...

Are there Toyota's from all over the world? Are any for sale? I have seen some interesting cruisers while in Africa, but have been told i can't get them here. While in Zimbabwe, I went to an offroad competition while waiting for our guns to arrive. I saw some interesting rigs. They don't seem to use lockers, but do like individual brakes on the rear tires for sharp turns. I would love to get a cruiser like the type we use for hunting. I will attach pictures.

The forklift was used to free anyone who got stuck. Planning my Africa trip for next year, if interested.

They are all Landcruisers from what I can see...
But not nearly as impressive as the line of Mercedes G-Wagons in full military regalia....

So who is going to Surf N' Turf this year ?
(Nov 7-9, 2008 @ Oceano Dunes State Park)
I haven't decided on leaving Friday night or very early Saturday morning (most likely), and would be interested in caravaning up there if anyone is interested. I'll be coming from Santa Clarita, so we could meet wherever...
Please post up if you are going....Thanks
