I'll vote for happy hour as well. Start with some drinks and appetizers on the table and migrate to to the meal a little later. I purposely brought more beer than I could drink and happily offered to anyone I thought might accept. I know that this was a sponsered event, so I'm unaware of the potential pitfalls to having people post up on bringing cocktail supplies, but hopefully we can all act like responsible adults. I know that there were alot of people that had no idea what to bring (especially those unable to cook

)and and maybe some mixer's, ice, little umbrella's

, etc. would have been cool.

yes...i did name tags last year and that was fun. i was going to suggest or do it this year too but didnt quite have the extra money to take on the expense of supplies. (i think i spent $150+ last year on tags, lanyards, printer cartridges, name badge holders, etc).......plus i didnt know if folks really enjoyed the name tag thing........oh well..........
there were alot of new faces this year and i tried sooooo hard to meet folks and remember names..........but i'm terrible with names too.
maybe next year (and i'll hopefully be relocated to NY by next oct...if not i give up)....you can all play the name game around the campfire during your happy hour. no fireside chats....just games.

Badges? We need stinkin badges!
I know name tags are nerdy, but we are a bunch of online forum users and ham radio people after all! Maybe we can split up the work/cost among a couple of us for badges. I'm happy to help there.

Next year I think I'll just wear my license plate around my neck. Nice name tag, good bling.

There are so many of us and will be even more next year and on. I have to try so hard to remember names too. And, there are screen names
plus real names to memorize. So I thought a directory might help. But not getting enough responses so far:

Doug-
I like the idea but since many of the members here do not drive FJ Cruisers do you think you could start a directory here at OAUSA.net?

Another great idea Scott. Hey Doug, I ran into you at the Xcel Rip you off on gas, gas station. It was nice meeting you and sorry I didn't get to make the run with you guys. It looked like a kick ass one.

That's what I'm saying. When I have to, I can act like a responsible adult
