We are up for another run on the Mojave in the spring. I hope Soda dry lake will be dry. That truck will be stuck for days. We had a great time with the family.
:D Big globs of mud fell off the Jeep all the way home on the I 15, we got a lot of looks

Me too! We're gonna be planning a Mojave Road trip here as well real soon. Early January from the looks of things so far. If Soda dry lake looks questionable we'll probably have to bypass it. Hopefully not, though.

Make sure you wash the undercarriage. That mud is corrosive.

McRover wrote:Saturday morning we explored around Hole in the Wall for a bet and were back on the Mojave Road about 11:00 AM. At about mile 85 we found a very cool camp just on the other side of the lava flow from the road. Sunday we finished the trail, based on some reports from other travelers on Saturday we attempted Soda (not so) dry lake. Not sure I would try it again in that condition.
Wow, that mud is amazing! I'm glad you all made it. I drove across a wet Soda Dry lake once and it cost over $40 in quarters in Barstow to get it (almost) clean.

The camp on the other side of the lava flow looks like the end of Indian Springs Trail. That's a nice place!
