sweet photos of pipe. I just got back from Costa Rica. The surf wasn't that big but the waves were absolutely perfect. Thanks for sharing! :ugeek:

Nice pics.

Growing up in New York City, I never got into surfing. But I love Hawaii - for 2 weks at a time max...

THe scenery is amazing, the people are friendly, and the pace is slow....so slow, that I get island fever really quickly, as I haven't been able to get used to the casual speed with which everything is run.

Even when I'm at the hotels, its sloooow, and I get restless ...watching 60 minutes there takes 2 hours !!!

But the sunsets, tropical flora, and clear waters make me wish I could relax....

It takes me a couple of days to unwind. The people are so friendly and it is such a change of pace. The beauty of this place is hard to beat.

The waves today were only 8-10. Yesterday was 10-15 and I will post pictures. Costa Rica is on my list, so I have questions for FEye.

Today, I went in search of the ultimate macadamia nut for Eric. The locals directed me to a ranch. I was told that I would indeed be in the presence of the biggest macadamia "Nut" on the Island. After attacking a difficult black diamond trail, I arrived at the gates of the ranch. I should have had a clue when I noticed a very weathered sign that said something about asylum. Not wanting to disappoint Eric, I put it in 4 low and charged ahead. It wasn't long before I was surrounded by macadamia nuts of all flavors. Chocolate covered, Maui onion and garlic, coffee flavor etc. Maybe it wasn't quite that way--I never put it in low ;)
