If the lakebed seems too muddy we'll follow a road north along the east side of the lake to Baker, then head west on I-15 then south on Rasor Road back to Mojave Road. However, I'd rather only do that as a last resort, as I want to drive the entire trail and not miss the Traveler's Monument.
