Michael,

I left a message on your voice mail. I'm busy tonight so I'll give you a call tomorrow.

I gather you saw the cross post for this event on the real4x4.com (Pinzgauer) site. Will you be bringing a Pinz?

Bruce

We had a request to minimize or not use the Big Bear repeater on our Summer Fest weekend. They are running an event. I forget the nature of the event.
It will be in the recording of one of the last 2 OAUSA nets.

Thanks Tom. I added a note at the bottom of the original post for this thread not to use the Big Bear repeater. We'll be using Keller Peak as our primary, and probably won't have need to use any others. Actually, most of our comms will likely only need to be simplex.

Yes, please !!

Is the campground info at the beginning of the thread still accurate ? I'll be coming up late (anyone staying up ?) so I'll need to find you guys using coordinates.

I may have 2 other FJs coming up with me:

Jay (jaytil) and/or a new not-yet-a-member FJ owner, Ben. I'll try to get them to post their intent, or at least update you on this thread...

Yes, we'll be at Big Pine Equestrian just south of Big Pine Camp. See also Gon2Srf's maps in the Saturday run thread for more detail. Those should be particularly helpful to you.
I imagine I'll be up til 11:00 to 11:30 Friday night, unless some jeep needs it's axle replaced. Speaking of Sunnygrill, anyone try to twist his arm into coming?

Add satellite phone with instant push button to speak directly to Admiral Michael Mullen...

I'm working on Sunnygrill, and he does want to be there, but he may have to work as he's been at Lake Havasu with his boat this week -

I'll check out the maps - is there a preferred way to get to the camp to avoid closed trails ?

If you see a ridiculously intense light beam circling around endlesly, shout out on the ham - it's just me lost in the woods...
