I'm not sure how the California money crisis will affect Anza Borrego, but I do seem to recall that there was some talk of closing the park. Two things come to mind:

1. what do we do if we pay for all of the sites and the park gets the temporary ax? Can we just give them a small deposit now so that we will be able to cut our losses later if the worst happens?

2. Should we consider an alternate site in the park?

Reserve America does not take deposits Dave, you must pay in full. Since Reserve America takes reservations for many state parks I get the feeling you would probably have your money returned without too much trouble if ABDSP does in fact get closed.

As I see it, if the state closes ABDSP, there is no alternative site (within the park).

I have a new Touareg (as spotted on the signature). It has an Air Lift - was 9.5, now 13"+ clearance - should have fewer issues with Arroyo Diablo
