At this time, no we have no such list. A good idea though. Before this get together, we should all post our ssid's for tracking purposes.
Ollie - maybe we can add these extensions to our existing amateur radio license thread.
We can certainly do that. I'll create a post dedicated to APRS call signs for us.

Time to make your plans. Saturday, September 12, 2009 will be the date for the APRS meeting. Details are as follows:
Date: Saturday - 9/12/09
Time: 9:00 AM
Location: Panera Bread, 235 E 17th St, Costa Mesa, CA - (949) 642-9500
For a map , see:
http://maps.google.com/maps?hl=en&um=1& ... o&resnum=1
Everyone who will be attending can use the time between now and the 12th to post up questions regarding equipment, software and installation. That way, it will be easier to get your set-up working correctly at the meeting. Be sure and bring any written instructions that you have for your equipment.
For those who will be running APRS to the meeting, post up the call sign, with your SSID, that you will be using.
Panera Bread has a decent breakfast menu which you can check out on line.

I believe you can use any GPS the has an NMEA 183 output, which is most gps units currently available. The Kenwood TM-D710A APRS manual might have info on it, too.
Or, better yet, just ask Ollie !!!

I use the Green Light Labs GPS unit. It's dependent on where you're mounting the control head, though. And there isn't a map display.
