I understand the diminishing enthusiasm problem. Maybe next year we can find an alternate location for Summer Fest/Field Day in another area.

While I too can get a little tired of traversing the same trails, the Summerfest event, and for that matter, most any get-together, is about the PEOPLE, not the location...So try to cheer up, and build up your enthusiasm by attending and mingling in the great outdoors

. Don't take it the wrong way....Jus cuz I'm not into the froadin' scene up there anymore doesn't mean I won't be enjoying everyone's company. I'm sure I'll have time to "mingle", but I'm looking forward to helping kick off what I hope will be an annual Field Day event for this group. That's where I'm focused and where I'll be volunteering my time.
Am I going?.....check!

I would like to go but I don't have a 4wd yet and it would be kind of foolish to drive my Audi.

Dennis:
Don't let that stop you. The road to the campsite is 2wd friendly and you can either spend time at camp doing the Ham radio thing or ride along with one of the four-wheelers. There is always an open seat.
Or your can put some All Terrain BFGs on the Audi and blaze some trails!

The only trail I'll blaze is to the repair shop. But I may join in just so I can see people's rigs, etc. 6 miles on a forest service road?

I'll be making a prerun up there soon to check out the other potential campsite. I'll post the road conditions after I check it out.
