Honestly, I'm still not excited about any of those listed - and I think picking the logo is more of a priority for now. We'll hit on a great motto in some random fashion at the events - those above just feel "forced" to me...

I still like our current motto.

18 votes isn't much when you consider we have over 150 registered users, so if we are putting it to a vote of the membership we should probably wait until we get a more active membership. We have a lot of members that haven't posted at all.

And just like the logo, we can change it later. I agree with Larry that we should pick the logo now and worry about getting it better as time goes on.

If they arent active enough to give a doodie about voting, why does their opinion matter?

That one sounds to me like we are a bunch of lost souls, not outdoor explorers....

just thought i'd play around with the above mentioned. i've seen "twists" like this before also (drinking club with a running problem, etc) and i like it...its fun.
just thought i'd add a random thought.

I'm sure a lot of newer members are active and do give a doodie and would like to vote, but can't. Meanwhile, I also feel they are all pretty forced and some make us sound like we are a travel site. We should wait until someone has a profound revelation... And I also strongly agree with Larry that we should work on the LOGO first.

even though the poll was closed.......its still fun to throw out suggestions so that when its revisited again.........someones idea may strike a chord, get the creative juices flowing, etc.
