Just to clarify, I am not suggesting we do any of the other trails I mentioned instead of Otay, but rather am trying to make it worthwhile for those traveling from up north by mentioning some additional trails to run the next day (i.e. camp overnight and make a weekend out of it). It seemed like there was some discussion on doing carvacre then another trail the same day. While this is possible, it's not practical.

We should stick to the original plan of doing carveacre, then time permitting, run over to Otay since they are so close.

BTW: wheres the thumbs up smiley? Image

I will be home in SD for the first week of July if anybody wants to hit up a trail or 2. Week day would even work.

Where ever is fine by me.

JerryH wrote:Funny I did Carvacre at night with minimal "off road" lights (just two Hella 550's). I had just got the Atlas II installed and that was it's first test. It was interesting at night but being a PhotoJeeper it is kind of hard to take photos at night. I have not done it during the day although I pass the entrance quite often. I will keep watching the board to see when the run is.

yes you have........didnt we do this one together? its the one up near julian. i could swear we did this one. we met up with the ranger at that green belt area and talked with him forever about the mines.
Oh yeah, that's right. I remember it now that you mention the ranger in the "oasis". That was a sweet run!

Just because I've been off four wheeling for six days straight you think that this run has faded away?

2nd or the 3rd as planned.

Who's still interested and what day is better for you?
