For the Parashant trip, I needed to a quick and simple mount to install a radio into my buddies truck (he had bought it ~2 weeks earlier). While he had the dash apart, I took some measurements and went home and made use of my 3d printer and favorite CAD package. I came up with this for mounting the head unit to the dash: Since I really wanted a functional APRS setup, I devised a way to mount an old 7 inch tabled to the radio: Once that was functional, I mounted the head unit to the dash: and used double sided tape to mount the radio and tablet to the floor where the driver and passenger could easily see and operate it: It survived 1000+ miles of on and off road travel without any issues. What you don't see in the pictures is the 5 port USB hub and TNC under the radio...I didnt have time to finish those mounts. I also didn't have the time to print the parts in something other than road-construction orange

On two different bmw motorcycles
1 2017 Bmw r1200gsawc have a yaesu ft857d with atas 120. So I tig welded up a box to fit under my rear rack to house the radio body with extra gel battery in the bikes airbox.
A seperater kit to mount head on the instrument binacal in a marine stereo splash housing.
With a ppt switch on handle bar and a lido aviation headset disassembly and fitted into helmet with the cord and plugs at seat tank.
The atas 120 is mounted to the rear panner frame using a diamond K400c antenna mount.
And all the wires wrapped in aluminum foil tape

This bike has a yaesu ftm 10 2m/70cm with a diamond 770 same antenna mounts both bikes this radio mounted in airbox and the head on a lido mount to handlebars both are hard wired to a ptt switch cant use Bluetooth as im a bit vocal while riding

speaking of powerwerx, I have these on my switch box and in a couple areas for plug in locations for lights, but this is a great solution for a mobile base used in multiple vehicles. they mount in cigarette lighter size 1" holes...

My Ford expedition 4x4 rig has dual battery, one at each end, 50amp breakers at front battery end, 30 amp at the back end.., both + and -, power pole blocks throughout, 8ga wire front to back,
HF VHF UHF APRS DSTAR AREDN Mesh, WIFI, and remote desktop, front / back camera DVR on network driven by 90 watts solar on top.
