I will be attending.
I will bring my Suburban and my small tent trailer.
Looking for another more off-road capable vehicle too(meaning smaller). May have something be then. We'll see.

Have actually been looking at 2nd Generation Toyota 4 Runners. It costs $160.00 to fill the Suburban and get 12-14 mpg on the highway. Hoping to be a little more agile and efficient with the 4 Runner's smaller size and V6. I want to "play" off road more than I "work" off road.

More agile, yes. More fuel efficient...well, maybe.

The 2nd gen 4runner 3.0L V-6 was not known for great fuel mileage; most get about 14-16 or so. This engine also had several issues, which resulted in many being replaced under warranty. Make sure you get a good history of the vehicle before you purchase it...

Yep, stay away from the 3.0 if you can. They are underpowered, don't get very good gas mileage, and are prone to head gasket issues (I know first hand, a family member has one and has had the problems above). There was a recall for the head gasket, and even after the recall is done they can still have problems with the HG. Go for the 3rd or 4th gen. I think the 4th gen V6 gets the best mileage of all the V6s, and has the most power(tip, if you go for 5th gen, get a 2005 or newer because they have the 5spd trans vs the 03 and 04 4spd).

I have a second gen 4runner and the 3.0 is underpowered, but as long as you keep the motor maintained and good coolant/water mixture with the radiator you should have no problems. However the newer 3.4 v6 is easily swapable into the 2nd gen 4runner at not that much cost. My 3.0 gets 18 hwy about 15 city and thats with 33x12.50 bfg muds.

I most likely will not make it either. My truck is not ready and I have a bunch of family stuff going on. Looking forward to summerfest...
