Ham radio applications

Ham radio is such an important part of our outings that I wanted to include some applications as well.
1/2” electrical conduit connector glued into a military tent pole make a great way to attach a copper J-Pole to the top of your mast.

Repair kits

What should you bring
Surface Prep
Fine grit sandpaper or emery cloth
Alcohol swab
Cotton swab
Popsicle sticks

Repair Materials
Textiles- cotton duck, cordura nylon, leather, bug netting,
Rubber sheeting, cordage
Tent pole sleeve, metal or plastic dowel, chopsticks.
Baking powder for C/A’s

Adhesive Chemistries
Blue thread locker
Flexible, Solvent based adhesive
Gel and Thin Super Glue
Epoxy Putty- Water and solvent proof
Non corrosive RTV Silicone
Acrylics- rear view mirror adhesive
Tent/Boot seam sealer

A good selection of adhesives to add to your vehicle tool kit. Most of these items can be found in small or even single use packages.
Thick and thin Super Glue, RTV sealant, rear view mirror bonder, solvent based and seam sealer repair, threadlocker, epoxy putty and liquid.
