Scott - Are you going out early Friday ? If so, maybe you can hold down a spot for me and Nikos, 'cause we won't be there 'til late Fri night...

I'm not even sure if I have a hall pass yet Larry, but if I do get out there early I'll see what I can do about saving some room.

If you look at the map of the planned clean up route some of you might want to skip the Doran part, might be a bit rough on some of the sheel metal. From what I saw of the planned route it starts at Mule canyon and ends doing the Doran loop. On the plus side they run it going donw the 2 waterfalls not up it is still a bit more challenging than Odessa. Could be wrong of course but it might keep some folks from getting in over their head

Yeah, your being kind. Not too many IFS suspension FJ's have made Doran without some serious stacking and tugging. I'll spin off at the top if I make it out there. Don't want the cleanup guys to have to wipe my paint off the rocks. :)
We do not do the Gatekeeper but several FJ's have done Doran and Odessa in both directions with no problems. Granted, a lift is necessary and some added belly armor is recommended but outside of that it is very doable. When doing Doran and Odessa last year we went up the Doran waterfall, a few of us without a spot (not wise), with no issue. I did knock my alignment out on a straight section just prior to the Doran waterfall when I hit a rock too hard because I got complacent and was messing with my GPS.

That being said... I am not saying that a novice driver should read this and say, "No problem. We can handle it" because that might not be the case.

You stole the element of surprise with your bravado. ;)

Did someone move the boulder that was almost blocking Odessa last year? Virtually everyone who ran Odessa at the Mogfest in October came back with some kind of damage getting passed it. It looked like carnage watching the group come back into camp.

Doran and Odessa have gotten worse since the middle of last year the doran waterfall as well as gatekeeper had all the fill in rocks washed away. Same goes for Odessa they are do able but not for those that mind a scratch or dent

We can also monitor the Table Mtn repeater, which supposedly has exellent coverage of the area:

145.28 (-) PL 131.8

Table Mountain Repeater

Ollie, can you edit your first post with this information?
