Look at it this way. OAUSA is a lot like Baskin Robbins. We have a lot of colors to please a lot of people. The two most popular colors are both available to those who care. If our goal is to appeal to the greatest number of people, then having more colors to choose from is better. Each to his own. Now post away!
I respectfully request folks restrain from using food analogies - the thought of it gets me too excited....

Ive been running my mouth non stop to people i meet and my friends about OAUSA, but i have yet to see any of them show up. One friend mentioned to me that it doesnt look like an outdoorsy site, but more like a tech help site. Food for thought.

Time for new friends ???
Just kidding, just kidding...
Unless we can plant trees on it, it's not likely going to look more outdoorsy, IMO. (I prefer the softgreen format myself).
The trick is to get your friends and associates to actually check out the site and the threads and posts, as opposed to just looking over the board index.
As we have been tracking since day one, the membership is growing consistently, the post counts are growing, and the threads are getting more diverse. Folks are starting to just "chat", a sure sign they are feeling more comfortable on this site.
And yes, I will continue to profess, "It's the people that make the site" - and the people participating here demonstrate this every day...
7 members online a few minutes ago, quite the crowd. We're getting there.

Will this thread ever end?
