Starting to get a decent fit on the top panel

Image

Image

Should have that taken care of tomorrow.
Now making the front panel will be an adventure, hoping to get that done before or during the weekend

Worked some more on the box over my fuel tank. major pain in the neck, but I am making progress.
Back side all done and all the goodies strapped back down

Image

Front needs a bit more work and then it's all done

Finished the box and stuck the seats back in. Pretty happy how my aluminum sheetmetal project turned out. Jeep is starting to look a lot more finished these days

Earlier this week I mounted some red labels and stuffed all my wheelin junk in the back. Found a nice metal box yesterday to stick all the tire plugs, valves etc in. Now I need to go visit a trail in a bad way. The Tinkertoy wants to stretch it's legs. Has been to long

Buttoned up the front axle today, so I am good for my Saturday wheelin fun.
Might also buy 4x MTR 40" stickies if I can get them for the price I am willing to pay for them.

What happened to the pit bulls?
Still got em, still love em. For local trails I wanted 37's and fell in love for the time being with stickies, they did beyond awesome in Moab

On this near freezing morning 15 Jeeps and this pretty Jeep look alike Toyota Jeep showed up for some pretty good trail fun. Lots of fun to be had for all 2 near flops a bit of strap action. A cut tire, a broken valve stem and rim was the damage for the day. We got stuck behind some JK er's for about 1 hour which made for a nice lunch and bull **** session. After Motino wash the put abouts headed home and we ran up 2n61Y and did some mine exploring in a really cool mine. This mine had a whole bunch of bats in it and lots of offshoots and several levels. It has to be one of the coolest mines in Big Bear. All in all a great day with a great group of people.
We also did a quick hike to the Spanish smelter, cool stuff.

The wanna be Jeep thing doing it's thing, just had to go there Kevin, ya know I think the ole girl is mighty pretty

After our little put put through the mountains and into the desert yesterday, it seems like it might be a good idea to make a stinger style spare tire carrier. I cut a pre cut sidewall on a front tire, busted it pretty good so instead attempting a to plug and reseat the darr thing borrowed the spare of one of my wheeling bud's. Got to love people that run the same bolt pattern and tire size as you do lol.
Any way for some local trails it seems like a good idea and the thing stuck on the back doesn't look half bad.
