More than enough light for the new shelf.
Very clever! There are at least a few places in the caverns of the H2 where I can think to install some additional light. From the pictures, it looks like it puts out a bunch of light. Where did you get it and how much? I assume that you just spliced into existing 12v lines, correct?

I ended up buying it directly from Rigid... although I am sure that any Rigid dealer can get it.
Yes, I spliced it into existing 12v power... the LED draws next to nothing.

My 2001 KTM 400 was a good bike (still is for someone else)... the new ride has some mighty shoes to fill.
After the first day of riding, I am confident it will do just fine...
Plenty of adventures to follow...

I haven't been on here for a while...
The mighty Super Enduro had not been out of the garage for quite a while. So, with a tear in my eye, I sold it to lucky new owner.
It has been replaced by this crazy machine... which has been getting lots and lots of use!

Aaron
Welcome back. It's great to hear from you again.
Details, on the Grenade, please. I hope the name is not to imply what will happen to the vehicle on the trail.

I have not even seen it in person yet (my truck). My deposit went in Oct 2021.
It has been a long road...

I am not going to have the patience to create one long post with all the details, so a few shorter posts.
A (very) brief history:
Land Rover stopped selling the Defender in the US in 1997. World wide production of the classic Defender stopped 2016. The new Defender launched in 2019.
Ineos Charman Sir Jim Ratcliffe (who owns HUE 166) tried to purchase the classic Defender plans from Land Rover, they declined. Ratcliffe tried to license the plans and manufacturing as a joint venture with LR, they declined. Ratcliffe decided to build his own. Design and engineering began in earnest February 2018. Ineos began asking for information from prospective buyers (farmers, overlanders, 4x4 people, safari people etc) what they wanted in a new vehicle in 2019. Exterior designs of the new vehicle began being seen by the public in July 2020. A new, state of the art ,production facility (which had been built by and for Mercedes Benz, though it was never used) in Hambach, France was purchased in December 2020. Interior designs on the new truck began to disseminate July 2021. Preorders began being accepted October 2021
My preorder deposit (refundable) went in October 2021.
I saw a non-driving test mule in an invite only event in Los Angeles (the Mule made it's way around the US) January 2022.
Gabrielle and I drove a not-yet-EPA-approved test mule in Santa Clarita March 2023.
