Light travels faster than sound. This is why some people appear really bright, until they start talking

Hehe, I got four sleeping bags and a tent heater. Gonna be all warm and cozy, even without Autumn!cruiserlarry wrote:Yeah, and a really warm sleeping bag, 'cause that will definitely get used...gon2srf wrote:You would only be able to edit the list if you were the OP, a mod or admin but your gold.Hope everyone has good recovery gear, looks like it may get used.

It almost goes without saying but I think that potluck style dining will be the way to go. If you'd prefer to do your own thing that's cool, but I always bring enough to feed quite a few people for a couple of meals. That way I only need to cook twice
I hope to have enough room to bring the "big" grill. Maybe we can start a potluck sign up (hint hint) or a new thread if need be?
Did you hear me honking at you today after work John? I couldn't see if you turned your head through those hazed over windows

Yeah, I didn't figure on doing a potluck, as this will be a moving caravan rather than a base camp. But I think we could get something together. It'll all depend on the weather conditions. I was planning on keeping my stuff as simple as possible, just in case. Worst case, it'll be too windy and stormy to cook with a grill, etc. I'll be keeping a close eye on the weather in that area as we get closer. However it goes, I'm sure we could all bring enough food to pass around.

Potluck doesn't have to be as big as it was at Borregofest. It's just a chance for everyone to get together around the grill, share something they like and be social. Bring enough of something you like to cook for a bunch of people for a couple of meals instead of cooking six times. I like dinner so I can bring stuff for lots of tacos one night and appetizer/tapas type stuff for the first night. In my experience, lots of people like to make big, fattening breakfasts to get you through the day also

That is a great picture with snow in the desert. Where did you get it or who took it?
See you on the Trail!
