We all know that Muddygrrl/Maureen/Mo is moving to Bend, OR and leaving us sorry folks in So. Cal (we are all very jealous).

I will open up this thread for discussion and planning. I will update this first post with all info as needed.

TIME: All Day and All Night!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

LOCATION: Sheep Canyon (top of Coyote Canyon) Bring your camping gear. Primitive camping.

I was thinking sometime in Feb/early march?

My thoughts:

Party at a park/beach/anza borrego?? (where did we have the so cal brewz and grillz event? that was a great location plus we can camp there that night also)

I'm thinking a saturday would be best...then if we want to turn it into a campover we all have sunday as well.

potluck! (i love potlucks and we always get a great assortment of goods)

Brewz and Grillz was at a park very near Funjunkies house.

Location.. CABRILLO HEIGHTS COMMUNITY PARK 8308 Hurlbut, San Diego California 92123- Great location, nice park. I like that idea Chris!

cabrillo heights community park was one of the locations. we cant camp there. the other brewz and grillz was at that park near the ocean (and group camping)...but i already checked availability at most camp sites in so cal...and they all seem to be booked from feb thru march.

i'm also thinking possibly sheep canyon? nice trail ride up and back...and tons of room and camping room. ?????

i'm putting it all out there to Mo and of course the end decision will be hers.

Well why didn't you say camping, oohps, you did in the 2nd post, my bad? The other place was Doheny State Park in Dana Point. Check out group camping, that's where we stayed and group isn't usually booked solid early in the year. Aren't most of her friends in Sand Diego County? For me it's great if you pick the OC but I think Anza would be the bomb. What better way to leave the state than after a weekend in ABDSP.

I just checked Doheny and it is in fact booked solid. Bummer, we'll just have to go to AB.

I think the barrens at the salton sea side by the truckhaven would be perfect. Fires are cool and plenty of space. No permits or reservations.

AB is my choice too!! angela is working on some dates with Mo. will keeps yas posted.
