Well, we finally made it out of the chute and lasted at least 8 seconds. The first net went well and for good reasons. Our first net got a great send-off from Gordon West who had absolutely great information about mobile HF rigs. Gordon stuck around long enough to field some questions and we look forward to seeing him again.
Gordon, thanks so much for being our guest on the first OAUSA Net. Thanks to every one who checked in and to all who helped get us to this point. Additionally, special thanks must go to Dennis Hughes (president of Keller Peak), the Keller Peak Repeater Association, Mike Ward (host of the Rescue Net on Keller), Ollie (K6JYB), Ken K.(KI6KUI), Mark Christian (Trustee for the Fam Comm Amateur Radio Association), The Fam Comm Amateur Radio Association, Bryan H. (KI6ILS), Tom S. (Ki6FHA)and of course, Bruce K (K6BJK).
Ollie, (K6JYB), and I hosted this net and it was great to see the response that the OAUSA idea has generated. We counted about 26 check-ins and for a first net, that is a good start. I understand that the net was recorded and I, for one, would like to hear Gordon's talk again. Who ever has it, can you post it somewhere so we can get a listen.
