I'm wondering if anybody is up for some exploration this sunday. I gotta few things to do on saturday including picking up a new tire for the Jeep. Im leaning towards Anza Borrego but was also considering Corral Canyon OHV Area or Jacumba. I don't care what the weather will be like, I'll head out rain or shine.

I was thinking of maybe heading out saturday afternoon and camping out (Sheep Canyon) if the weather isn't too bad, but so far it seems like an early start on sunday will be the best bet. What I had in mind was heading up through Coyote Canyon to the primitive camp and then hiking into south fork Sheep Canyon to the base of a sublime 30-foot waterfall- said to be the most beautiful cascade in Anza Borrego. Framed by full-skirted palms both top and bottom and a lush carpet of grass below, its a point of interest well worth checking out. With the rain here I'm hoping its flowing good.

Anyway, that's what I was considering... :D

John, sounds like a plan. Sunday morning would be best for me too. How far/difficult is the hike to the falls? I messed up my foot a week ago and it's still giving me trouble, so I won't be up for to long of a hike. If it's far or difficult, I can just explore the area or something while you head to the falls... no biggee!

Well ok! The hike is rated as difficult but its only 0.6 miles from the camp. Not sure how much trouble it'll give you, so we'll just see. Sorry about your foot. You gotta stop sticking it where it don't belong! jk!

I'm meeting another Jeep up in Ramona at the Albertsons parking lot around 7 or 8. I'll let ya know when we have the exact time down and you can meet us there or somewhere else you'd like along the way.

i have hiked up there before, you have to climbover some bolders and through some water but it's worth it.

Very good, ralphie! I've only been up the main fork of sheep canyon, not the south fork. Should be fun! I guess we'll see if all the water crossings are full too.

I'm planning to be in Ramona at 7am. I believe there's a Starbuck's there as well. ;)
