I am planning to ride with a group from Pamamint around the "big loop" on Sat 3/14 on motorcycles.

So... Panamint --> Saline Valley Rd --> Warm Springs --> Steel Pass --> Eureka Dunes --> Ubehebe Crator --> Teakettle Junction--> Race Track--> Lippencott-->> back to Saline Valley Rd--> back to Panamint.

My estimate is that this is a 240 mile loop (if anyone has actual mileage for the full loop I would be interested) based on past trips.

All the bikes on this ride should make it... but it will be close, a few bikes may be coasting down the 190 back to Panamint. If anyone is going to be around the area Sat morning and has room for an extra fuel can please let me know. I would be interested in paying (top dollar even) for a few gallons of gas along the way to take the edge off.

If not, I can make other plans.

I will be in the area on 3-22/23. So if your trip gets post poned let me know. I can have lots of gas for you and your buddies. If you do run out of gas on the 13/14th stay put until I come by on the 22nd.

BTW - that is a big leap from Eureka Dunes --> Ubehebe Crator . Are you going around on Death Valley road?

I can't remember if DV Road is paved or not... there is a graded road next to DV Road (or maybe it is DV Road) that brings you around to the crator. I just know it is a long fast (70mph+) graded road.

It will be a very long loop. I have started at the Warm Springs and done this loop back to the springs in about 5.5 hours. Add 1.5hr to the springs from the 190 and an hour back to the 190 from the Ubehebe/Saline Valley Rd juction and it will be an 8+hr day. Not counting any mechanicals and any damage from this last round of storms.

Maybe I will need a week at the springs after this ride!
