Frogeye is putting a wildflower run together for the 14th of March. I'm going to be the heal on this one and he'll be the lead.

We'll be rolling out for the trail head by 10:00 AM.

If you'd like to join us for a leisurely run up Coyote Canyon see you at the traffic circle. Please show up with a full tank of gas and don't forget to bring your lunch and your camera. We will eventually end up in Sheep canyon for some more fun exploration. This run is fun. A stock rig can do it. I heard on the radio that peak bloom will be mid month so this trip should be pretty sweet.

Quick note regarding comms for the trip...

146.520 is the National call frequency for 2 meter, and should only be used to initiate communications and then QSY to another frequency to complete the transmission. So, I would suggest picking another frequency for general simplex communications...

Don't we have 4 simplex comm channels that we have been using already ?

I thought we had "adopted" the following for trail runs:

OAUSA 1 - 147.510
OAUSA 2 - 147.570
OAUSA 3 - 147.450
OAUSA 4 - 145.570

IMO, staying as consistent as possible with comm channels will make it easier for folks to hook up when no strict plan is in place...

Whew!!! I guess that means that either someone else is going to be responsible for the damage to my Hummer or I'm not invited?
